Introduction (GRR – I Do) (10 min)

The teacher shows the picture and narrates the story with proper voice modulation and gestures.

Teacher introduces new vocabulary:

  • Ducklings
  • Fox

  • Frightened
  • Trick
  • Wing
  • Safe

Teacher explains the meaning of each word using pictures and actions.

ELPS Integration

  • Listening: Listen carefully to the story.
  • Speaking: Repeat the new vocabulary.
  • Reading: Read simple sentences from the story.
  • Writing: Copy five new words and meanings.

Concept Building (GRR – We Do) (15 min)

Teacher and students read the story together.

Teacher asks guiding questions:

  • What trick did the mother duck play?
  • Why did the fox follow her?
  • What happened at the end?

Students answer in complete sentences.
