Pre-Knowledge Test (5 min)
Teacher asks:

- Have you seen a fox?
- What do animals do when they are in danger?
(Expected responses: Ducks live in water, swim in lakes, fox is a wild animal, etc.)
Introduction (GRR – I Do) (10 min)
The teacher shows the picture and narrates the story with proper voice modulation and gestures.
Teacher introduces new vocabulary:
- Mother duck
- Ducklings
- Fox
- Lake
- Frightened
- Trick
- Wing
- Safe
Teacher explains the meaning of each word using pictures and actions.
ELPS Integration
- Listening: Listen carefully to the story.
- Speaking: Repeat the new vocabulary.
- Reading: Read simple sentences from the story.
- Writing: Copy five new words and meanings.
Concept Building (GRR – We Do) (15 min)
Teacher and students read the story together.
Teacher asks guiding questions:
- Where did the mother duck take her ducklings?
- Who frightened the mother duck?
- What trick did the mother duck play?
- Why did the fox follow her?
- What happened at the end?
Students answer in complete sentences.
Teacher highlights the moral: “Presence of mind and courage can save us from danger.”
