Pre-Knowledge Test:

Introduction:
The teacher will show pictures of a cat and a dog and ask learners questions about pets.
The teacher will then introduce the story “Rima and her pet” and encourage learners to listen carefully.
After that, the teacher will read the story aloud with proper pronunciation and expression.
Concept Building:
- Teacher explains the characters: Rima, Molly and Jimmy.
- Learners identify animals, flowers and colours mentioned in the story.
- Teacher explains difficult words like garden, marigold, sunflower, ant, fence etc.
- Students repeat important sentences after the teacher.
- Teacher introduces rhyming words such as:
- cake – make
- pet – set
- day – play
- bat – cat
- Learners practice speaking rhyming words aloud.
- Teacher asks simple comprehension questions from the story.
