Pre-Knowledge Test:
- Why is water important for us?
- What happens when water becomes polluted?
- How can we save water?
- Which type of environment do you like — clean or polluted? Why?
Introduction:
The teacher will show pictures of clean and polluted surroundings and ask students to compare them. A discussion on the importance of water and clean environment will be conducted. Then the teacher will introduce the lesson “My Story”.
Concept building:
- The teacher will read the lesson aloud with proper pronunciation and expression.
- Students will read the lesson paragraph by paragraph.
- Difficult words like polluted, rapid stream, healthy, wasted, and beautiful will be explained.
- The teacher will explain how water describes its own importance in the story.
- Students will discuss different forms and uses of water.
- The importance of keeping water clean and saving water will be discussed.
- The teacher will ask questions such as:
- What does water say about itself?
- Why is water important for plants and living beings?
- What does water request from people?
- How can we keep water clean and healthy?
Consolidation and Reinforcement:
- Students will retell the lesson in their own words.
- Important points about water conservation will be revised.
- Difficult words and meanings will be reinforced.
- The teacher will discuss ways to protect the environment and save water.
Practice:
- Read the lesson aloud.
