Introduction:

The teacher will begin with a discussion on modern communication methods such as email and online messages. Students will be asked whether they have seen anyone sending emails. Then the teacher will introduce the lesson based on an interview and email communication.


Concept building:

  • The teacher will read the conversation aloud with proper pronunciation and expression.
  • Students will read the dialogue in pairs.
  • Difficult words like recipient, prestigious, attachment, download, and printout will be explained.
  • The teacher will explain the interview between Ranju Dutta and Mr. Gohain.
  • Students will learn the steps of sending and receiving an email attachment.
  • The importance of polite communication and digital literacy will be discussed.
  • The teacher will ask questions such as:
    • Why was Mr. Gohain invited to the school?
    • What was his book “Flying High” about?
    • Why did he ask for Ranju’s email ID?
    • What did Ranju do after receiving the email?

Consolidation and Reinforcement:
