• Give examples: big–small, tall–short.
• Ask students to tell any opposite pair they already know.




Introduction:

• Show the colourful pictures from the poem.
• Ask students what they see (sun, cloud, children, animals).
• Tell them: Today we will sing a poem about many opposite words.




Concept Building:

• Teacher recites the poem aloud with actions and rhythm.
• Students repeat after the teacher.
• Explain opposite pairs from the poem:

happy–sad

good–bad

hot–cold

young–old

black–white

day–night

big–small

short–tall
• Use flashcards to reinforce meaning.
• Ask simple questions:

What is the opposite of day?

What is the opposite of tall?

Which opposites did you like from the poem?





Consolidation and Reinforcement:
