Introduction:

Show the picture of the fair from page 81.

Tell students:
Today we will listen to a passage about Ritu visiting a fair with his father and learn how they used a mobile phone for good purposes.

Then show Annie’s picture story.
Ask:
• “What is Annie holding?”
• “What should she do with the mobile phone?”
• “Will she keep it or return it?”




Concept Building:

Part A: Listening Passage — Ritu at the Fair

Read the passage aloud clearly and slowly.

1. Ritu and his father went to a fair.


2. Ritu bought balloons, a colorful hat, and bangles for his sister.


3. Ritu’s father used his mobile phone to pay the bill because he had no cash.


4. They rode the fairy wheel and took photos.

Part B: Picture Story — “Annie Found a Mobile Phone”

3. She picked it up and checked its screen.


4. A photo appeared, and she recognized the owner.


5. She looked around and found the girl who lost it.


6. Annie returned the mobile phone to her.
